I'm Bradley Holdaway, a cinematographer and filmmaker based in New Zealand. Over six years I've worked camera department on feature films including Bloodlines and The Red Admiral, alongside DOP and directing credits on numerous short films. I specialise in visual storytelling — building a look for a film through lighting, framing and camera movement that serves the story first. Available for freelance and crew work across camera, lighting and colour.

I work with directors from the ground up — storyboarding, location scouting, and building lighting plans before we ever roll camera. Where time allows, I'll turn a storyboard into a full animatic so the team can preview the film before the shoot.

On set, I focus on building a look that serves the story — lighting, framing and camera movement working together, not just technically correct but purposeful.
Post-Production
Post-Production
I handle colour grading and can run full post on smaller projects — editing, sound design and grading — to deliver a polished final product.

Bradley is the kind of technician who can take an image from flat to interesting in a matter of minutes, his constantly evolving understanding of light and the techniques to manipulate it make him a great cinematographer. Not only does he have a great understanding of camera department but his directing and producing abilities are fantastic to behold. I would highly recommend Brad for 1st AC, Operating and Colourist jobs.
